- Spirotetramat is a systemic insecticide belonging to the tetramic acid group. After foliar application, it is translocated both upward and downward through the xylem and phloem, providing two-way systemic activity within the plant.
- This insecticide is primarily effective against immature stages (nymphs) of target pests.
- The insecticidal action of Spirotetramat is relatively slow, and its effects become visible 3 to 7 days after application.
- Continuous or repeated use of this insecticide within a single growing season is not recommended. For effective insecticide resistance management (IRM), it should be applied in rotation with insecticides having different modes of action.
- The pre-harvest interval (PHI) between the last application and harvest is 7 days for apples, pistachios and onions, 14 days for citrus, 3 days for tomatoes and 3-7 days for rapeseed.
